To enable cookies in Netscape 6, Netscape 7 or Mozilla, click on Edit, then select Preferences. Select the heading Privacy & Security. Next, click on Cookies, and make sure that Netscape is set to "Enable all cookies". Then make sure there is not a checkmark in "Ask me before storing a cookie".
I still get a "cookies not enabled" message?
It is possible for other settings on your computer or browser to interfere with the setting of cookies. If you don't seem to be able to enable your cookies, please try the following:
1. Check the date on your computer. If the computer date is not correct this can prevent cookies from being created.
2. Some security applications can interfere with cookies. If you are running an internet security program, anti virus program or firewall, try turning it off temporarily. If the cookies work okay with the program off, you need to find out how to configure your security application to allow cookies.
3. In Mozilla, go to Tools, select Options, go to the Privacy tab, under Cookies, click Exceptions, look for websites in the list with which you are having this issue and check to see if they have the notation always block, if yes, click the "Allow" button, see if it changes to always allow.
